A Quick Trio of Reviews

So my roommates are responsible for getting into zombies, one of them is also responsible for getting me into almond milk.  It’s actually quite good; I like the subtle nutty taste and it’s still refreshing like your normal, run-of-the-mill cow’s milk.  And it’s healthy, as his vegetarian girlfriend is happy to point out.

The problem is the container.  I hate this paper box crap.  I want something with a handle and won’t feel like it’ll burst if I squeeze too hard.

I have to ask, what is so cool about Mystery Science Theater 3000?  The whole gag is that he’s forced to watch the worst sci-fi movies ever given a budget and he and his robot friends make fun of it.
Some of the jokes are funny—not in a laugh-out-loud fashion, but humorous.  But you still have to watch the bad sci-fi movie.  I cannot make it past more than one episode.

Dan Wells (writer of the John Cleaver trilogy and cast member in Writing Excuses) and his brother Rob Wells (an author I’ve never read) have their own podcast, Do I Dare To Eat A Peach?  Go to the site to try and understand the title.  You might fail, as I did.
This podcast has them talking about all things pop culture, from movies to music to literature to food.  Each podcast is an hour long and most run over (a couple are even forty-five minutes over.)  Not all of them are worth sitting through the whole time, but that has more to do with my personal interests than with them.  The music episodes I really enjoy, and the couple of Star Trek episodes are hilarious.  Not a huge fan of the Armageddon show but the situation they propose is too ridiculous for me to wrap my brain around.
